LATROBE, Pa. – The Westminster College baseball team lost, 4-3, at Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) foe Saint Vincent College after the Bearcats scored two late runs in the eighth inning.
The Titans had an early 3-0 lead after three runs in the first inning. Senior
Ryan Dunn (Freeport, PA / Freeport) scored the first run with an RBI-single to right field, scoring freshman
Joseph Salmen (New Castle, PA / Union). Sophomore
Brandon Rossier (Wexford, PA / North Allegheny) followed with an RBI-single, scoring classmate
Seth Magee (Wattsburg, PA / Seneca), bringing the score to 2-0. Dunn scored the third run during a Titan double play.
Saint Vincent's Ben Webb registered two sacrifice flies (one in the first and one in the fifth) to cut the Titans' lead to 3-2. Saint Vincent (9-5, 3-0 PAC) scored the tying and go-ahead runs in the eighth inning with two outs.

Sean Coyne (New Castle, PA / New Castle) (0-2) pitched 7.2 innings, while giving up four runs (three earned) on 11 hits. He struck out two batters and walked one.
Westminster (1-12, 0-3 PAC) is back in action Tuesday, March 29 with a non-conference doubleheader at home versus Hiram College. The first game is set to start at 2 p.m.
