ERIE, Pa. – The Westminster College softball team split a non-conference doubleheader at Penn State Behrend on Wednesday.
The Titans lost game one, 7-2, but regrouped and won 5-2 in game two after scoring five runs in the seventh.

Kailey Liverman (Purcellville, VA / Loudoun Valley) broke up the shutout with an RBI-single in the sixth inning, scoring junior
Emily Lindsey (Freeport, PA / Freeport). Sophomore
Jazmyn Rohrer (Purcellville, VA / Woodgrove) added another run on the next play, scoring Liverman with a double. Rohrer (2-6) pitched 4.0 innings, while giving up six runs on seven hits. She struck out seven batters and walked two.
Down 2-0 in their last at bat in the seventh of the second game, the Titans rallied and scored five runs to take a 5-2 lead. Sophomore
Hannah Ritter (Front Royal, VA / Skyline) started the scoring spree with an RBI-double, scoring sophomore
Emiley Westfall (Jefferson, OH / Perry). Senior
Lexi Sheffer (Seneca, PA / Cranberry) singled in Ritter to tie the game at 2. Rohrer scored the go-ahead run with a single, bringing home junior
Checka Nardone (Ellwood City, PA / Lincoln). Sophomore
Addie Dieterich (Purcellville, VA / Loudoun Valley) added insurance with a two-run double, scoring first-year
Emily Secrist (Chambersburg, PA / Chambersburg Area) and Liverman. Senior
Amber Forrest (Clear Spring, MD / Clear Spring) (3-5) pitched a complete-game, while allowing two runs on seven hits and striking out four.
The Titans (5-11) will next host Pitt Bradford on Tuesday, March 29. Game one is scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m.
