NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – Despite leading with less than six minutes remaining in the game, the Westminster College women's basketball team lost, 54-41, to the visiting Grove City College Wolverines in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) action Wednesday night.
Westminster (0-11, 0-5 PAC) took its first lead of the game in the second quarter when sophomore
Kylie Cook (Pittsburgh, PA / Mount Lebanon) scored a layup with 8:47 on the clock. The Titans led by as much as five points (16-11) with 5:10 remaining in the half. Grove City (4-8, 2-3 PAC), however, finished the half with a 9-3 run to take a 20-19 halftime lead.

Rachel Durbin (Lowellville, OH / Lowellville) made a layup with 2:59 on the clock. Westminster led 32-30 at the end of the third quarter. Westminster took a 41-39 lead after a three-pointer by sophomore
Danielle Dindak (West Homestead, PA / Serra Catholic) with 5:24 remaining. The Wolverines, however, out-scored the Titans 15-0 for the remainder of the game.
Durbin and sophomore
Kendell Dickson (Cochranton, PA / Conchranton) led Westminster's offense with eight and seven points, respectively. Sophomore
Kristine Fromknecht (Erie, PA / McDowell) and Dindak added six points each. Fromknecht also had a team-high seven rebounds, while Dickson had six. Durbin added a game-high five assists and a team-high four steals, both were season-highs.
Westminster will next host Thiel College (1-11, 1-4 PAC) on Saturday, Jan. 9, at 1:30 p.m.
