NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – Sophomore
Deontay Scott (Youngstown, OH / East) registered the ninth double-double of his career after posting season highs in points (22) and rebounds (11), guiding the Westminster College men's basketball team to a 66-65 win over Waynesburg University at home Wednesday night.

Charlie Wallander (Pittsburgh, PA / Baldwin) made a pair of free throws with 8:12 on the clock. The Titans led 33-31 at intermission.

Paul Carswell (Painesville, OH / Notre Dame Cathedral Latin) split a pair of free throws, extending Westminster's lead to 49-38 with 12:21 remaining. Waynesburg (5-13, 5-6 PAC) responded with a 15-2 run to take only its second lead of the game (53-51) with 9:08 on the clock. Westminster got back in front and the Yellow Jackets got within one point of the Titans' lead (66-65) when BJ Durham made two free throws with 12 seconds remaining. Durham had a chance to win the game as time expired but his three-pointer attempt came up short.
Sophomore
Brandon Domenick (New Castle, PA / New Castle) scored 11 points, while Carswell had nine. Sophomore
Jarret Vrabel (Canfield, OH / Canfield) and freshman
Austin Armwood (Westerville, OH / Westerville North) scored eight points each. Vrabel also had seven rebounds, while Domenick and Carswell had six apiece. Domenick tied a game-high with a team-high four assists. Freshman
AJ Grant (Warren, OH / Warren JFK) added a team-best two steals.
The Titans are back in action when it plays at Thomas More College in Crestview Hills, Ky. on Saturday with a start time of 3 p.m.
