CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. - The Westminster College volleyball team split two matches at the Thomas More College Tri-Match Saturday afternoon.
The Titans (3-10, 2-1 PAC) came back from being down 2-0 to win 3-2 (22-25,18-25,25-21,25-20,15-8) in their first match against Waynesburg University (1-10, 1-3 PAC) and lost 3-0 (25-16, 25-12, 25-13)Â to Thomas More (7-3, 6-0 PAC) in match two.
Against Waynesburg, Titan sophomore
Lexie Yoho (Pittsburgh, PA / Our Lady of the Sacred Heart) led the offense with a career- and match-high 18 kills, while senior
Megan Prybyl (Mars, PA / North Catholic) added 13 kills. Daniels had a career-high 25 assists, while Titan senior
Tiffany Jackson (Las Vegas, NV / Las Vegas) had 15. Yoho added a team- and career-high four service aces.
Westminster first-year
Rachel Moore (Greensburg, PA / Greensburg Central Catholic) topped the defense with 18 digs. Jackson (14), first-year
Shanna Daniels (Edinburg, PA / Billy C. Ryan, TX) (11), and Prybyl (10) also tallied double-digit digs. Yoho earned a match- and career-high eight blocks.
Against Thomas More, Yoho and first-year
Delaney Saxton (Cortland, OH / Brookfield) had a team-high five kills each. Daniels had a team-high 10 assists. Moore and Prybyl led the defense with nine and seven digs, respectively. Yoho added a team-best four blocks.
The Titans will host a Tri-Match on Tuesday. Westminster will play Thiel College at 4:30 p.m. and Bethany College at 8 p.m.
