Men’s Soccer: Kiernan’s Goal Lifts Titans Past Washington & Jefferson

WASHINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College men's soccer team won, 1-0, at Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) foe Washington & Jefferson College Tuesday night.

Senior Matthew Kiernan (Venetia, PA / Upper St. Clair) scored the lone goal, his team-leading ninth of the season, at the 74:26 mark with a chip shot to the lower left side of the net. Junior Jon Clark (New Wilmington, PA / Wilmington) earned the assist.

Senior goalkeeper Tyler Little (Slippery Rock, PA / Slippery Rock) earned the win after going the complete game and earning two saves.

Washington & Jefferson (9-6-2, 4-3-0 PAC) slightly out-shot Westminster, 9-8, and held an 8-3 corner kick edge.

The Titans (9-5-3, 4-2-1 PAC) will play their last regular season game on Saturday when they travel to Waynesburg University with a 4:30 p.m. start time.
