NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College women's soccer team shutout Bethany College in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match on Senior Day Saturday afternoon.
The shutout victory was the ninth this year for Westminster.
Titan senior
Kelsey Rogers (Pittsburgh, PA / Upper Saint Clair) scored the first goal, the first collegiate goal of her career, after receiving a pass from first-year
Keely Birsic (N Ridgeville, OH / Elyria Catholic) at the 32:35 mark.
First-year
Devin Furness (Fayetteville, PA / Chambersburg) extended Westminster's lead to 2-0 with a goal, her second of the season, in the 38th minute. First-year
Emily Irvine (Cheswick, PA / Deer Lakes) earned the assist.
Westminster senior
Raechel Pusateri (New Wilmington, PA / Wilmington) added insurance with a goal, her fifth of the season, at the 47:07 mark in the second half.
Titan senior goalkeeper
Rachael Letscher (Canfield, OH / Cardinal Mooney) got the win, while earning four saves.
Westminster, who is ranked in the top-10 in the NSCAA Great Lakes Region, improved to 12-1-2 overall and 5-1-1 in the PAC, while the Bison dropped to 2-12-1 overall and 0-7-0 in the conference.
The Titans will next travel to Washington & Jefferson College on Tuesday with start time of 7:30 p.m.
