NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College women's tennis team finished the regular season undefeated in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) after a 9-0 shutout over the visiting Bethany College Bison at home Saturday.
Westminster had four complete shutouts in singles and all three doubles.
Titan sophomore Gabby Eaborn (Coraopolis, PA / West Allegheny) won at first singles, 6-1, 6-4. She also teamed up with junior
Sydney Sterner (Imperial, PA / West Allegheny) for an 8-0 win at first doubles.
The Titans, a three-time PAC Champion, will be the no. 1 seed at the 2015 PAC Championships Tournament which takes place next Friday (Oct. 23) and Saturday (Oct. 24) at the Pennbriar Athletic Club in Erie, Pa. Matches will begin at 8:30 a.m. each day.
Saturday's shutout was Westminster's fifth of the year.
Westminster finishes the season 10-2 overall and 8-0 in the PAC, while Bethany goes to 0-13 overall and 0-8 in the conference.
