Women's Soccer: Late Saints Goal Downs Westminster, 1-0

CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. - The Westminster College women's soccer team battled with no. 24 nationally ranked Thomas More on Wednesday, however lost 1-0 after a Saints goal at the 80th minute in the second half. The Titans dropped to 4-7-3 overall and 0-3-1 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference, while the Saints improved to 13-1 overall and 4-0 in the conference.

Thomas More's Chrissy Sonderman snuck the ball past Westminster's goal keeper at the 80:08 mark for the lone goal of the game. Abby Gindling earned the assist.

Westminster senior goalie Jenn Cantella (Freedom, PA / Freedom) earned a team-high six saves in 90 minutes of play. Junior Amanda Turi (Monroeville, PA / Gateway) earned a shot-on-goal within the first minute of the game for the Titans.

The Titans will host Waynesburg on Saturday at 3 p.m.
