Women's Soccer: John Carroll Edges Visiting Westminster

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio - The Westminster College women's soccer team lost at John Carroll, 1-0, Thursday night in a nonconference match. The Titans fall to 0-2-1 on the season without scoring a goal in three matches. The Blue Streaks improve to 4-2 on the year.

Jackie Murrer scored the game-winner in the 60th minute on assists from Eleanor Sovacool and Colleen Harmon.

Nicole Grys and Lexi Korczynski combined for the JCU shutout with three saves apiece.

Westminster junior goalkeeper Jenn Cantella (Freedom, Pa./Freedom) made six saves.

JCU outshot Westminster 24-8.

Westminster hosts Penn State Behrend Saturday at 3 p.m.
