NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College women's soccer team lost 2-1 at home Friday against Mount Union in the first day of the Westminster/Grove City Invitational. The Titans (0-2) led early in the game, but Mount Union (1-1) countered with a pair of goals by Kylee Kolesar.

Kolesar scored in the 12th and the 60th minutes, the latter a game-winner that was deflected off Westminster freshman goalkeeper Jenn Cantella (Freedom, Pa./Freedom). Cantella made seven saves and faced nine shots.

Westminster scored in the fifth minute when sophomore Samantha Killmeyer (Medina, Ohio/Highland) converted a free kick and beat Mount Union goalkeeper Taryn Vespoint, who got the win by making 12 saves and facing 20 shots.

Westminster returns to action Saturday at 2 p.m. when it hosts Daemen.
