Women's Soccer: Titans' Comeback Win at JCU is Their Fourth Straight

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio - The Westminster College women's soccer team won its fourth straight game of the season Tuesday with a 2-1 win at John Carroll in non-conference action. The Titans are now 4-2 on the season and the Blue Streaks drop to 1-4-1 on the year.

John Carroll struck early with a goal by Caitlin Walton just 2:21 into the game.

Westminster did not tie the game until the 64th minute when sophomore Becca Pecora (Cranberry Twp., Pa./Seneca Valley) scored her first goal of the season on an assist from classmate Kelli Michanowicz (Duncansville, Pa./Hollidaysburg).

Junior Danielle Struble (Curwensville, Pa./Curwensville) scored the go-ahead goal in the 78th minute as she has now scored the Titans' game-winning goal in each of the last three games. Sophomore Samantha Killmeyer (Medina, Ohio/Highland) provided the assist.

Westminster freshman goalkeeper Jenn Cantella (Freedom, Pa./Freedom) earned the win by making 11 saves.

The Titans host Juniata Saturday at 3 p.m.
