NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College women's soccer team improved its record to 2-1 on the season by defeating Pitt-Bradford, 3-0, in a home non-conference game on Wednesday.
Westminster smothered the Pitt-Bradford by outshooting the Panthers, 25-0.
Senior forward Christina Adams (Hubbard, Ohio/Hubbard) scored her first and second goals of the season with the opening goal in the 17th minute and later heading in a goal in the 57th minute on an assist by senior midfielder Abby Montgomery (McMurray, Pa./Peters Township).
Adams posted five points as she and freshman midfielder Samantha Killmeyer (Medina, Ohio/Highland) assisted on a goal by sophomore forward Sarah Nee (McMurray, Pa./Peters Township) in the 47th minute.
Pitt-Bradford falls to 0-3 on the season.
Westminster will play in a tournament at Marietta over the weekend beginning with a game against Brockport at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
