BETHANY, W.Va. - The Westminster College women's soccer team shut out Bethany, 2-0, on the road Tuesday in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match.
Westminster improves to 12-2-2 on the season and 3-0-1 in the PAC while the Bison fall to 7-6-3 overall and 2-2-1 in the league. The Titans are unbeaten in their last nine matches.
The Titans took an early lead when freshman Samantha Killmeyer (Medina, Ohio/Highland) scored on an assist from freshman Hayley Ebersbacher (Chesterland, Ohio/West Geauga) just 2:57 into the game.
Sophomore forward Sarah Nee (McMurray, Pa./Peters Township) did not score Westminster's insurance goal until the 72nd minute.
Killmeyer's goal is her seventh of the season and Nee's is her 15th of the year.
The Titans outshot the Bison 28-6.
Westminster returns to action at home Saturday when it hosts Waynesburg at 6:30 p.m.
