Personal:
- English major and writing and communications minor with plans on becoming an editor, author and publisher
- Daughter of Brian and Melissa Shunk
- Has a sister, DanielleÂ
- Has been involved with Girl Scouts for sixteen years and has done a variety of service efforts through scouting such as mentoring younger girls, helping in soup kitchens and working alongside UNICEF, to name a few
- Involved with church service groups, which includes Mission Trips, sewing prayer dolls for children in hospitals, helping with Vacation Bible School and other similar functions. In high school, was also a part of Key Club, which led her to become further involved in service relating to her community
- Worked with fundraisers, community Easter egg hunts, Samaritan’s Purse (operation Christmas child) and the Ronald McDonald House
- Enjoys reading, writing, crafting, organizing, singing, dancing, jewelry-making and felting
- Chose Westminster because she loved the genuine and passionate nature of the professors and the positive community that seemed to envelope the school
