Stacie Cepin enters her second season as a part-time assistant coach for Westminster for the 2017-18 season.
Cepin was the head girls basketball coach at Austintown Fitch High School for the past seven years. Under Cepin, the Falcons posted six-straight winning seasons and won an All-American Conference title in 2014 - the program’s first conference championship in twenty years. That same year, the Falcons amassed a record of 21-2, which marked the best winning percentage in school history. She was named Baird Brothers/WKBN Coach of the Year in 2011.
Cepin played at Division I Youngstown State University on a scholarship, where she played in the NCAA tournament in 1996. After two years with the Penguins, Cepin transferred to the University of Alaska-Anchorage on a scholarship, and earned a spot on the All-Pacific West Conference team.
Her first coaching job was as an assistant at Anchorage, followed by positions at Ohio University, Clemson University, and at Mercyhurst College. She then worked as the girls basketball coach at Campbell Memorial High School and at the Harmony Community School in Cincinnati before moving on to Shelbyville (Ind.) High School.
Cepin graduated from Campbell Memorial High School, where she earned 13 varsity letters and was the class valedictorian. She earned an Interdisciplinary Degree and received a Masters from Ohio University. Cepin also acquired a teacher education license (Integrated Mathematics) from Notre Dame College.
