Heath Calhoun enters his seventh year on the Westminster staff as the diving coach for the 2020-21 season.
In 2019-2020, Calhoun earned his third-straight PAC Diving Coach of the Year award. Kaitlyn Fast, Connor May and Zoe Cable each claimed PAC Championships. May was named the PAC Men's Diver of the Year for the third-straight season while Fast rounded out her career by earning PAC Women's Diver of the Year. Under the guidance of Calhoun, six Titans qualified for the NCAA Division III Region 4 Diving Championships.
In 2018-2019, Calhoun claimed his second consecutive PAC Diving Coach of the Year award after Kaitlyn Fast and Connor May both claimed PAC Championships. May was also named PAC Men’s Diver of the Year for the second consecutive season. Under the guidance of Calhoun, May earned All-American status for the second consecutive season, and Fast became Westminster’s first-ever NCAA Division III Female Diving Qualifier.
In 2017-18, Calhoun and the Titans embarked on one of the best diving seasons in program history. For the first time in school history, Westminster earned PAC Diver of the Year in both Connor May and Kaitlyn Fast. Calhoun also coached three divers into the NCAA Qualifiers in Ithaca, NY. (May, Fast, Zack Thomas). Additionally, May earned All-American status at the NCAA Division III Championships in Indianapolis, Ind. Calhoun earned PAC Diving Coach of the Year for the first time in his career.
Calhoun was a sixth-time All-American as a diver at Division II Clarion University. Calhoun won the NCAA Division II national championship on the 3-meter springboard at the 2014 NCAA Championships. Calhoun broke the NCAA record by scoring 615.95 points (34.30 points better than the previous record and 54.15 points better than the second-place finisher). Calhoun was .50 points from winning the 1-meter competition. A team co-captain his senior year, Calhoun was named the CSCAA (College Swimming Coaches Association of America) Division II "Male Diver of the Year".
Heath, a graduate of Butler High School, earned a degree in Rehab Science at Clarion in 2014 where he was also a Scholar Athlete and an Academic All-American.
