Marcus Gurgiolo enters his first year as an assistant coach for the Westminster men's soccer team for 2021.
Gurgiolo was previously an assistant soccer coach at Finlandia University.
As a player for Westminster, Gurgiolo was a two-time all-conference selection - including All-PAC First Team in 2015. Gurgiolo was one of the centerpieces on the 2015 PAC Championship team who advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament. Gurgiolo finished his career with 18 goals and 18 assists for 54 career points. He was selected on Westminster's First Team All-Decade Team (2010-2019).
In 2015, Gurgiolo was tied for seventh in the conference with a career-high eight goals (second on the team) and was tied for fourth in the PAC with a team- and career-high seven assists, while his team-best and career-high four game-winning goals tied for second in the league. Gurgiolo’s 23 total points in 2015 were the most on the team (sixth-most in the PAC). As a junior, Gurgiolo led the team with 15 total points on five goals (tied for the team-lead) and five assists (third on the team). Just in his first year, Gurgiolo dished out a team-high four assists.
