Anthony Accardi enters his third season at Westminster after joining the Department of Athletics as the head men's lacrosse coach on August 5, 2022.
In Accardi's first two seasons, he led the Titans to back-to-back Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championship Tournament appearances. In two seasons, Accardi helped the Titans to consecutive 10-win seasons, posting an overall record of 20-15 and a PAC record of 10-5. The 2025 season has already brought additional success for the Titans under Accardi, as Gavin Jones and David Evangelista were named USA Lacrosse Preseason All-Americans. This is the first time in program history that the Westminster program has had players earn the honor. In 2024, one player was named All-PAC First Team, three were named All-PAC Second Team, and five were recognized with All-PAC Honorable Mention honors. The 2024 season also brought home the program's most noteworthy win, as Westminster took down Adrian College, a team receiving votes in the the USILA's Division III Top 20 rankings, by a 12-10 final. In 2023, Accardi had two players earn All-PAC First Team, three earn All-PAC Second Team and fgive players earn All-PAC Honorable Mention honors.
Prior to Westminster, Accardi served as an assistant coach at Allegheny College from 2018-22. At Allegheny, he served a pivotal role in starting the brand-new Division III program. Accardi played a major part in recruiting the inaugural team, which included 26 student-athletes in the program's first season in 2019. Accardi also coached the program's first-ever All-North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) East Team honorees.
Before Allegheny, Accardi served as an assistant coach at Washington & Jefferson College from 2016-18. Additionally, Accardi worked as the assistant men's lacrosse coach at Division II Dominican University (N.Y.) and a as club coach for various travel teams, including Team 91 Tri-State, True Pittsburgh and Iron City.
Accardi is a 2015 graduate of Mercy University (N.Y.). He graduated with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. He was a member of the lacrosse program for four years as a midfielder and was also named a team captain. During his time at Mercy, he was a member of the Criminal Justice National Honor Society, made the Dean's List, earned the Division II Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Award, earned the Mercy College Men's Lacrosse Maverick Award and graduated cum laude. Accardi went on to earn a master's degree in sports management from SUNY-Cortland.
