Mike Fuhrman begins his fourth season as the linebackers coach in 2021.
Fuhrman, a graduate of Penn State University ’12, endured a playing career as a long snapper with the Nittany Lions under hall of fame head coach Joe Paterno and now current Houston Texans head coach Bill O’Brien. During his time with Penn State, Fuhrman was named “Most Outstanding Walk-On” and earned the Maxwell Club Spirit Award.
Fuhrman started his career at East Stroudsburg University, where he was an intern in 2012. Fuhrman then moved to the North Allegheny School District, where he served as a freshman football coach in 2013. In 2014, Fuhrman worked as an assistant coach for the Boston Brawlers of the Fall Experimental Football League (FXFL). Fuhrman joined the staff of Division II school Tiffin University as a tight ends/assistant offensive line coach in March of 2015, where he helped Tiffin to an 8-3 record in 2016. Most recently, Fuhrman was an assistant offensive line coach for Robert Morris University in 2017.
