John Scargle begins his first year as a member of head coach Scott Benzel's staff in 2025. After spending over two decadesĀ coaching in Pinellas County on Florida's west-central coast, he will work primarily with the Titans'Ā cornerbacks.Ā
From 2022-24 Scargle servedĀ as the head coach at Hernando High School in Brooksville, Fla. He worked as the defensive coordinator at Countryside High School in 2021-22 after a two-year run as defensive coordinator at Clearwater High School from 2019-20. In 2018 Scargle worked as an assistant special teams and defensive backs coachĀ at Division II St. Anselm College in New Hampshire. He spent the 2017 season as the head coach at Palm Harbor University High School after several successful stints as defensive coordinator at Clearwater Central Catholic High School (2002-08; 2010-17).
Scargle, aĀ Yorba Linda, Calif. native and Esperanza High School graduate, started his collegiate career in North Orange County at Fullerton College before playing three seasons at the University of Central Florida as a defensive back. A graduate of UCF, Scargle owns a bachelor's degree in business administration and management.
Scargle and his wife Fanny have one daughter, Cristie, andĀ two sons, Dilan and Nicolas.Ā
