Joe Laukaitis enters his second season on Westminster's coaching staff in 2017 as the defensive line coach.
Prior to Westminster, Laukaitis played professionally in the Indoor Football League; he played for the Wyoming Cavalry, where he led the team in tackles and sacks, and the Green Bay Blizzard.
Laukaitis was a football standout at Division I Saint Francis University. During his collegiate career, Laukaitis collected 118 total tackles (53 solo and 65 assists). After being nominated to the USA College Football Second Team All-American Defensive Line his senior season, Laukaitis was invited to both the USA Football Bowl and the FCS Senior Scout Bowl.
Laukaitis was a two-sport athlete at Upper St. Clair High School (football and track & field). He was a three-year starter on the defensive line and a two-year starter on the offensive line. He was named First-Team All-Conference at defensive tackle (2009), Second-Team AP All-State Offensive Line (2009), Almanac Premiere Pigskin Performer (2009), Kennywood-MSAt Sports All-Star (2009), PA Sports Fever Honorable Mention All State Offensive Line (2009), and First-Team All-Conference at offensive guard (2008). He also played for Pennsylvania in the 2010 Big 33 game.
A Pittsburgh, Pa. native, Laukaitis graduated with a Business degree from Saint Francis.
