Jared Heck enters his seventh overall season on the Titan coaching staff, second-straight as the defensive backs coach and recruiting coordinator for the 2022 season.
Heck was the Titan defensive backs coach for three seasons (2015-2017), before coaching at Division I Ball State University in 2018 as a defensive graduate assistant.
A four-year letterman in both football and baseball at Westminster, Heck earned All-Presidents’ Athletic Conference Honorable Mention in football and was named Team MVP as a senior. A team captain as a senior for the Titan football team, Heck ranked third in the PAC with five interceptions. Heck was also the Team Captain on the Titan baseball team and ranked in the top five in the PAC in walks and in stolen bases as a senior. Heck was also awarded the David B. Fawcett award, at the annual Westminster Exceptional Sports Performances of the Year banquet, which is given annually to honor and acknowledge an individual who best exemplify the qualities of fairness, sportsmanship, leadership, determination and competitiveness.
A native of Pittsburgh, Pa., Heck attended North Hills High School.
A Mathematics major at Westminster, Heck was a three-year member of SAAC, where he served as the treasurer for two years. He was also a member of the Student Government Association and the Student Life and Athletic Council.
