Cole Tippens

Cole Tippens joined sixth-year head coach Patrick Riley’s baseball staff as a graduate assistant in August 2024.
 
Tippens will pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA), concentrating in data analytics, during his time at Westminster.
 
Tippens earned an Associate in Science degree in Sports Management from Jamestown Community College in May 2020 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Hilbert College in Sports Industry Management in December 2023.
 
Most recently, Tippens was an assistant coach at Niagara Community College during the 2024 season. While there, he oversaw hitting and the outfield. He helped NCCC finish with a team batting average of .371 while scoring 540 runs on 593 total hits and adding 188 stolen bases. NCCC finished with a record of 48-11 and ranked 5th in the country, with the season ending in the regional semi-finals. NCCC finished with 6 All-Region selections, 2 Region All-Glove selections, Regional Player of the year, 3 ABCA All-Americans and an ABCA Gold Glove winner. Tippens also helped place 10 of 13 Sophomores at the next level: 2 NAIA, 5 DII, 3 DI
 
Tippens was also an Assistant General Manager for the Jamestown Tarp Skunks (PGCBL) in 2023 and 2024. Specializing in day-to-day and game day operations, Tippens also started the annual “Strike Out Cancer” game.
 
Tippens played baseball at Jamestown Community College and at Medaille College before transferring to Hilbert College to finish his degree.
 
A native of Fredonia, New York, Tippens was a four-year letter winner and 5-sport athlete at Fredonia High School and helped the Hillbillies make it to the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) Baseball Championship game and finished as the runners-up in 2016.
