Biography
2020-21:
- First Team All-PAC honors
- Finished second in the 200 medley relay, freestyle, and freestyle relay in the PAC Championship
- Finished second in the 800 freestyle relay and 400 freestyle relay
2019-2020:
- All-PAC First Team in the 200 free relay (1st), 400 free relay (1st), 800 free relay (1st), 200 medley relay (2nd), 100 free (4th), 200 free (5th), 50 free (9th)
- Won the PAC Championship in the 200 freestyle relay with a time of 1:24.81, the 800 freestyle relay with a time of 6:53.70, and the 400 freestyle relay with a time of 3:06.73
- Placed fourth in the 100 freestyle at the PAC Championships with a time of 48.06
- Placed fifth in the 200 freestyle at the PAC Championships with a time of 1:46.47
- Earned a third-year letter
2018-2019:
- Earned All-PAC Second Team honors in the 800 free relay (2nd), 200 free (5th), 100 free (6th), and the 50 free (12th)
- Earned a second-year letter
2017-2018:
- Finished second in the 200 free vs. Chatham with a time of 2:00.11
- Earned a first-year letter
High School:
- Attended Crestwood H.S
- Four-year letter winner in soccer and swimming
- Named Most Promising Newcomer as a freshman swimmer
- Swim team MVP as a junior and senior
- Named Most Valuable Attacker in soccer as a senior
- Scholar athlete winner all four years
- United States Army Reserve National Scholar Athlete Award Â
Personal:
- Environmental Science major with plans on finding a job where he can work outside
- Son of Matthew and Roxanne Sorrick
- Both parents are college professors at Hiram College
- Has a sister, Madeline SorrickÂ
- Father swam and played baseball at Hiram College for two years each
- Sister ran cross country and track at Ohio Wesleyan University for two years
- Raked leaves around time in high school for four years as a team building exercise for soccer
- Volunteered at the Martin Luther King Day community service
- Attended three mission trips in high school
- Enjoys bouldering, basketball, volleyball, hiking and water polo
- Chose Westminster because on his overnight recruit trip, he sat in on an Environmental Science class and talked to the professor for an hour and then played Just Dance with the swim team and felt accepted and part of a family Â
