Westminster finishes seventh at Olivet's Kyle Campbell Memorial

MARSHALL, Mich.--The Westminster women's golf team posted a seventh-place finish at Olivet's Kyle Campbell Memorial tournament on Saturday.  

The two-day, 12-team event was hosted by the Medalist Golf Club.

Trine won the team title with a two-round score of 627 (322-305). Adrian's Rachel Fay was medalist with a two-round score of 146. She shot a three-over 75 Friday and a one-under 71 on Saturday. Westminster concluded its two rounds with a team score of 677, finishing Friday's opening round with a team score of 341. The Titans combined for a team score of 336 on Saturday.

Junior Ava Liburdi (Hermitage, Pa., Hickory) finished 13th in the 76-player field with a two-round score of 160. Friday, she fired a five-over 77 and registered a hole-in-one on the par 3, 148-yard No. 17. She shot an 83 on Saturday. Senior Katie Rose Rankin (Sewickley, Pa., North Allegheny) tied for 14th with a 161. She shot an 81 Friday and an 80 on Saturday. 

Sophomore CeCe Morgan (Fairview, Pa., Cathedral Prep) was 41st with a 176 (89-87) while sophomore Madey Myers (Hermitage, Pa., Hickory) finished in a four-way tie for 43rd with a 180 (94-86). Sophomore Paige Ponteous (Butler, Pa., Butler) was 47th with a 181 (94-87). 

Freshmen Izzy Sciulli (Glenshaw, Pa., Shaler) and Annie Arnold (Grove City, Pa., Grove City) competed as individuals. Sciulli tied for 63rd (198, 100-98) and Arnold tied for 68th (211, 108-103). 

Up next:
Westminster will compete at the Thiel Invitational next Saturday. The event will be played at Avalon at Buhl Park Hermitage, Pa.
