NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.--The Westminster College Department of Athletics and GRIT Sports Performance announced a partnership Thursday to help Titan student-athletes stay healthy, recover properly and perform at their highest level. Through the agreement, Westminster student-athletes will have access to cutting-edge recovery and performance technologies encompassing advanced performance analysis and assessment systems, industry leading modalities like whole body electric cryotherapy, red light and infrared therapy, Normatec compression as well as state-of-the-art sport technologies, including immersive virtual reality and more. These offerings are designed to elevate athletic performance, enhance recovery efficiency and proactively detect and manage potential injuries all while servicing the modern athlete.

GRIT Sports Performance is an athlete performance and recovery company focused on providing schools, teams and individuals access to innovative technologies, data-driven performance insights and recovery solutions. After launching a pilot program prior to the 2025-26 academic year, Westminster Director of Athletics Jason Lener saw the measurable successes in development, strong student-athlete buy-in and positive feedback from members of the coaching and sports medicine staff as proof of concept that this initiative with Fair and GRIT Sports Performance would be a natural next step.

The flagship GSP Labs by GRIT Sports Performance opened its doors in January 2024 inside Grossetti Performance in New Castle. The facility offers a first-of-its-kind performance experience designed to revolutionize the way athletes of all levels, as well as individuals pursuing better health and wellness, achieve their goals.

This August, the company will officially open its second GSP Labs by GRIT Sports Performance location inside GreenTree SportsPlex, creating one of the most comprehensive athlete development environments in Western Pennsylvania. The facility will offer memberships, team partnerships, individual services, sports performance assessments, recovery programs, and educational opportunities, with exact opening dates, founding memberships, pre-launch promotions, and community events to be announced in the coming weeks.
