Goode named PAC Newcomer of the Week

TRAFFORD, Pa.--Westminster College freshman quarterback Quentin Goode (Aliquippa, Pa., Aliquippa) was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Newcomer of the Week Monday afternoon.

This is the second PAC weekly award this season for Goode. He was recognized as the league's newcomer of the week Oct. 20 following Westminster's 48-6 win over Thiel.

Goode finished 15-of-25 passing for 292 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday's 57-21 win against Allegheny. He connected with sophomore Brite Cannon (Parkland, Fla., Monarch) on a 45-yard touchdown with 13:02 to go in the second quarter before hooking up with sophomore Kristian Bailey (Hollywood, Fla., Hollywood Hills) on a 42-yard score with 7:34 left in the third.

In five games (3 starts) this season, Goode has thrown for 920 yards and eight touchdowns.

Westminster (5-3, 4-2 PAC) will host Hiram (3-5, 2-4 PAC) Saturday at Memorial Field inside Harold Burry Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. The College will also celebrate its 18 seniors prior to next week's kickoff.
