On Sunday evening, Westminster was announced as the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) representative invited to participate in the Extra Points Bowl in Canton, Ohio on Saturday, Nov. 23 as part of the inaugural Opendorse Bowl Series... The two-game Opendorse Bowl Series will be played at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium... At 1 p.m. in the ForeverLawn Bowl, Hanover College from the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) will match up with Wabash College from the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC)... The Extra Points Bowl, featuring Westminster and Marietta College, the Ohio Athletic Condference (OAC) representative, is scheduled for a 6 p.m. kickoff... Westminster went 7-3 in its 10-game, conference-only schedule... It is the eighth season winning seven or more games under 11th-year head coach Scott Benzel... Marietta, led by 12th-year head coach Andy Waddle, finished its 2024 campaign 8-2 overall and 7-2 in the OAC... Saturday will mark Westminster's 25th all-time postseason appearance and its fifth in the last six seasons... Most recently, in 2022, the Titans' scheduled trip to SUNY Brockport to participate in the Eastern College Athletic Conference's (ECAC) Clayton Chapman Bowl was canceled due to a declared a state of emergency in the Buffalo area... Westminster and Marietta are no strangers to each other, as they competed in preseason scrimmages prior to the 2023 and 2024 seasons at Canton South High School and West Liberty University, respectively... There were four regular season meetings between the two teams from 1969-72, with the Titans winning three of the four.
