The first half featured 46 combined rushes. Grove City ran 27 times for 117 yards while Westminster had 19 rushes for 61 yards.

Joey Guida scored capped a 12-play drive with an 8-yard scoring run with just over three minutes to go in the first to even the score. Logan Pfeuffer connected with Scott Fraser on a 28-yard touchdown with 12:27 to go in the second quarter to give Grove City a 14-7 advantage.

Caleb Kuechly hit a 30-yard field goal as time expired in the opening half to give Grove City a 17-7 halftime lead. It was Kuechly's first career field goal.

Dylan Sleva (Moon Township, Pa., Moon) registered a career-high 14 tackles (5 solo). Matthew Randza (Beaver Falls, Pa., Blackhawk) and Matthew Petruzzi (Allison Park, Pa., Central Catholic) posted nine tackles each.

Nico Flati paced Grove City's rushing attack with 115 yards on 24 carries. Ben Bladel had five tackles with 3.5 tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks and a fumble recovery.

Westminster opens its 2023 home schedule next Saturday, Sept. 9 against Thiel College during the College's annual Hall of Fame Weekend. Kickoff at Memorial Field inside Harold Burry Stadium is scheduled for 1 p.m. The game will be featured as WKBN's Game of the Week.
