Four finish in double figures in Tuesday's league win at Geneva

BEAVER FALLS, Pa.--Four players finished in double figures Tuesday night as the Westminster College men's basketball team scored a 72-66 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) road victory over Geneva.

Senior Justin Bofenkamp (Warren, Ohio | Warren JFK) paced Westminster (8-4, 6-1 PAC) with 14 points and three rebounds in 22 reserve minutes. Senior Austin O'Hara (Girard, Ohio | Girard) added 13 points and four boards while junior Reese Leone (Beloit, Ohio | West Branch) chipped in with 13 points. Freshman Trey DePietro (Boardman, Ohio | Boardman) finished with 10 points and seven rebounds.

Westminster shot 47.1 percent (32-68) from the floor and hit 6-of-17 (35.3%) three-point attempts. The Titans finished the night just 2-of-10 (20.0%) at the free throw line.

Westminster held a 44-38 edge on the glass and saw its bench outscore Geneva (8-4, 5-2 PAC) 34-12.

O'Hara's jumper with 43 seconds left in the first half pushed Westminster's lead to 11, 36-25, going into the break. The Titans scored the final eight points of the first.

With 11:51 remaining in the second, Leone's layup put Westminster up by nine, 49-40. Geneva's Isaac Massie capped a 14-4 scoring run that covered the ensuing 3:37 with a layup that gave the Golden Tornadoes a 54-53 lead.

Down two, 60-58, with 4:29 to go in regulation, Westminster rattled off eight-straight points to grab a 66-60 lead on a DiPietro dunk with just over two minutes left.

Lyle Tipton's jumper pulled Geneva back to within two, 68-66, with under a minute to play, but Bofenkamp's three-pointer with 24 seconds left pushed the Titans lead back to five, 71-66. Junior Andrew Clark (New Middletown, Ohio | Springfield Local) split a pair of free throws with 13 seconds remaining to seal the victory.
