WASHINGTON, Pa. – The four-seeded Westminster men's tennis team lost, 5-0, against top-seeded Grove City in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Tournament Semifinals Friday afternoon.
First-year
Ellian Ascencio (Venetia, PA / Peters Township) competed in No. 1 singles and then in No. 1 doubles with junior
Sam Scotford (Poland, OH / Poland Seminary). Junior
Jimmy Oberlin (DuBois, PA / DuBois Area) battled in No. 2 singles and then in No. 2 doubles with sophomore
Jacob Mack (Carnegie, PA / Chartiers Valley).
The Titans finished the season with an overall record of 10-6 and a PAC record of 4-3 under first-year head coach
Jeff Layman. This is the first time since the 2004 season that Westminster registered 10 wins in a season.
