NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The four-seeded Westminster men's tennis team won, 7-2, at home against five-seeded Geneva in the first round of the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Tournament.
"It's always good to get a PAC Tournament win," said head coach
Jeff Layman. "We can't be satisfied with that and need to come out Friday in the semifinals focused against a very good Grove City team."
This marks the first time since 2004 that Westminster (10-5, 4-3 PAC) has won 10 matches in a season.

Ellian Ascencio (Venetia, PA / Peters Township) picked up victories in No. 1 singles (6-4, 6-2) and No. 1 doubles with junior
Sam Scotford (Poland, OH / Poland Seminary) (8-3). Junior
Jimmy Oberlin (DuBois, PA / DuBois Area) won in No. 2 singles (6-3, 6-2) and in No. 2 doubles with sophomore
Jacob Mack (Carnegie, PA / Chartiers Valley) (8-1).
The Titans will next compete against top-seeded Grove City in the PAC Semifinals on Friday, April 29 in Washington, Pa. Start time is 1 p.m.
