LATROBE, Pa. – The Westminster men's basketball team won, 88-74, over Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) foe Saint Vincent on the road Wednesday night.
Four Titans scored in double-digits, led by sophomore
Reese Leone (Beloit, OH / West Branch) with a game- and career-high 26 points (including a career- and game-high six three-pointers). Leone also pocketed a game-high four steals. Senior
Josh Hutcherson (Uniontown, OH / Uniontown Lake) registered 18 points and seven rebounds, while classmate
Daniel Ritter (North Lima, OH / South Range) had 15 points and nine boards. Sophomore
Andrew Clark (New Middletown, OH / Springfield Local) earned the first double-double of his career with 13 points and a game-high 10 rebounds, while dishing out a career- and game-high five assists and tying a game-high with two blocks. Senior
Anthony Ritter (North Lima, OH / South Range) added nine points.
The beginning of the first half was back-and-forth. Westminster (7-5, 4-2 PAC) was up 15-10, however, Saint Vincent (1-9, 0-4 PAC) went on a 6-0 run to go up 16-15 with 12 minutes to play in the frame. That Bearcat lead would be there last as the Titans went on a tear for the rest of the frame, outscoring Saint Vincent 33-10 and led 49-25 at halftime. The Titans maintained their double-digit lead for the duration of the contest.
The Titans are back on the court Saturday, Jan. 15 when they host Bethany at 3:30 p.m.
