Marc Esqueda (San Bruno, CA / Junipero Serra) assisted senior
Nate Taylor for his first goal of the season at the 42:17 mark. Westminster (3-3) held La Roche (0-3) at bay and maintained a 2-0 lead to intermission.
As the second half kicked off, the Titans' tenacious defense limited the Redhawks to a minimal offensive performance. Sophomore
David Stuebgen (Freedom, PA / Ambridge Area) found first-year
Connor Schmidt (Evans City, PA / Seneca Valley) for his first career goal. Westminster continued to push the envelope as senior
Jimmy Boyle (Pittsburgh, PA / Chartiers Valley) scored his first goal of the season, assisted by classmate Joey Coveny (Beaver Falls, PA / Blackhawk) to make the score 4-0. At the 85:05-mark, senior
Chris Powers (Erie, PA / Fort Le Boeuf) scored his first goal of his career on a penalty kick.
Westminster outshot La Roche (41-2) and bested them on shots-on-goal (17-0). The Titans also held the advantage in corner kicks (7-0).
The Titans are back in action on Friday, September 17 against Ohio Northern for a home contest scheduled for a 7:30 kickoff.
