BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – The No. 2-seeded Westminster softball team ended their historic season with a 1-0 loss to No. 3 seed Bethany in Saturday's elimination game of the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Tournament.
 
Bethany (21-16) scored the game's lone run in the top of the second inning as Ally McClell scored on a throwing error.
 
Both teams had opportunities to score with 15 total left on base (Westminster had six). The Titans continued to battle late and had runners on first and second in the sixth inning with only one out and a runner on third with no outs in the seventh, however, Westminster was unable to score.
 
Titan junior pitcher 
Madison Brown (Lisbon, OH / East Liverpool) (16-2) pitched 4.0 innings, giving up the one unearned run off six hits and had one walk and one strikeout. Sophomore 
Abbegail Froehlich (Pittsburgh, PA / Plum) came in for relief for three scoreless innings, giving up four hits and striking out two.
Senior 
Haley Bedalota (Aliquippa, PA / Hopewell) and sophomore 
Alexis Yates (Oakdale, PA / South Fayette) represented Westminster on the All-Tournament Team.
 
Westminster, under the guidance of 25
th-year Head Coach 
Jan Reddinger, finished the season as the winningest team in program history with a 33-4 overall record. The Titans made their fifth-straight trip to the PAC Tournament.
