ALFRED, N.Y. – The Westminster women's soccer team lost, 2-1, in the first round of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Tournament on the road against Alfred University on Saturday.

Jocelyn Gillette (Natrona Heights, PA / Highlands) found first-year
Brooke Horvath (Murrysville, PA / Franklin Regional) to blast the first goal of the game. As the first half continued, the Titans and Saxons were in a defensive battle as there were only seven shots combined. Westminster held a 1-0 lead at intermission.
As the second half kicked off Alfred (11-5-4), picked up the tempo as Katline Cartwright registered the Saxons' first goal off a dish from Jacey Palmgreen, tying the game at 1-1. At the 55:33 mark, Cartwright tallied another goal, giving Alfred a 2-1 lead. The Titans orchestrated scoring opportunities but could not find the back of the net.

Camille Holzschuh (Youngstown, OH / Boardman) recorded six saves in the complete-game effort.
Westminster registered ten shots, three of which were on-goal, along with three corner kicks.
The Titans finish with an overall record of 16-3-1 and a perfect conference record of 9-0 under 20
