NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Westminster women's soccer team finished the regular season undefeated in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) as they won, 3-1, over Franciscan at home Wednesday night.

For much of the first half Westminster (15-1-1, 9-0 PAC) and Franciscan (7-8, 4-5 PAC) were in a stalemate until Franciscan's Tania Davidson headed a goal from a corner kick in the 40th minute. This marked the first time all season that a PAC opponent scored against the Titans. Westminster previously outscored their conference counterparts, 25-0. The Barons took a 1-0 lead to intermission.

One minute and forty seconds into the second half, first-year Natalie Vilchek (West Newton, PA / Yough) found graduate student Jocelyn Gillette (Natrona Heights, PA / Highlands) for her second goal of the season to tie the game at 1-1. The Titans then took the lead when junior Julia Redilla (Cranberry Township, PA / Seneca Valley) notched her 14th goal of the season and fifth game-winning goal of the season off a dish from senior Ashley Frank (Mentor, OH / Mentor) in the 61st minute. To build upon their momentum gained in the second half, Gillette assisted first-year Allie Augustine (Cortland, OH / Lakeview) for her sixth goal of the year during the 67th minute.

Titan senior goalkeeper Camille Holzschuh (Youngstown, PA / Boardman) tallied two saves and earned the win in a complete-game effort.

Westminster outshot Franciscan (33-6) and bested them in shots-on-goal (15-3). The Titans also had the advantage in corner kicks (5-3).

The Titans secured the No. 1 seed in the PAC Championship Tournament, earning hosting rights and First Round byes. Westminster will host the No. 4 W&J/No. 5 Waynesburg winner at the UPMC Sports Complex next week in the Semifinals. Semifinal dates and start times will be announced after Saturday's First Round results.
