NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Westminster men's soccer team lost, 3-2, at home against Franciscan in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) showdown on Wednesday night in their regular season finale.

Franciscan (10-5, 7-2 PAC) struck first when Nick Miller found the back of the net. The Barons scored again from Nick Miller at the 9:15 mark, making it 2-0. Westminster (11-7, 7-2 PAC) found its footing when sophomore Kai Haseyama (Encinitas, CA / San Dieguito Academy) blasted his second goal of the season. In the 38th minute, Franciscan tallied another goal, this time from Sebastian Koehler. The Barons took a 3-1 lead to intermission.

As the second half started, the Titans looked to recover from lost ground. Senior Marc Esqueda (San Bruno, CA / Junipero Serra) notched his fourth goal of the season to put some pressure on Franciscan with the score 3-2. The Barons halted the comeback by nullifying the Titans' opportunities on offense.

Titan junior goalkeeper Jad Jadallah (Canfield, OH / Canfield) tallied five saves in the complete-game effort.

Westminster and Franciscan produced the same amount of shots (16) and shots-on-goal (8).

The Titans secured the No. 3 seed in the PAC Championship Tournament and will host No. 6 seed Geneva (6-8-3, 4-4-1 PAC) this Saturday, Oct. 30 at 1 p.m.
