DELAWARE, Ohio - The Westminster College women's lacrosse team lost, 20-8, on the road in a non-conference matchup against Ohio Wesleyan University on Saturday.
 
Ohio Wesleyan (1-1) got ahead of Westminster (1-3) after scoring the first two goals of the game. The Titans responded when senior Bria Braddock (Beaver Falls, PA / Blackhawk) scored to make it 2-1 with 24:50 left in the first half. The Bishops scored consecutive goals seven goals to take a 9-1 lead, before first-year Ava Krensky (Bethesda, MD / Walter Johnson) tallied a goal to make the score 9-2. The Titans trailed 15-3 with 2:13 to play in the first half. Westminster scored two more goals, courtesy of Krensky and first-year Stephanie Cimini (Mars, PA / Mars Area) and trailed 15-5 at intermission. Ohio Wesleyan held on for the rest of the contest.
 
Ohio Wesleyan outshot the Titans (33-15) and led in ground balls (18-12). The Bishops also bested Westminster in draw controls (17-12).
 
Braddock had a team-high four points on three goals and one assists. Braddock also had a team-high seven draw controls and four ground balls. Krensky tied for a team-high with three goals on seven shots, while also adding three draw controls. Cimini and first-year Emiley Kushner (Cecil, PA / Canon-McMillan) each added a goal. Kushner's goal was her first career tally. Titan sophomore goalkeeper Emma Bradley (South Fayette, PA / South Fayette) recorded seven saves in a complete-game effort.
 
Westminster is back in action Saturday, March 7 at home against non-conference for Ave Maria University at 1 p.m.
