PITTSBURGH, Pa. - The Westminster College men's lacrosse team lost, 13-3, in the first game of the Three Rivers Classic against Gwynedd Mercy University on Saturday.

Dante Serra (Center Valley, PA / Southern Lehigh) to make the score 5-1 at the end of the first period. The Griffins led 6-1 at halftime. After Gwynedd Mercy scored two more goals, junior
Nick Trella (Moon Twp, PA / Moon Area) scored his first goal of the season off of an assist from senior
Tyler Nordby (Burnt Hills, NY / Burnt Hills). The Titans tallied one more goal in the fourth quarter courtesy of sophomore
Joe Rosa (Newton, NJ / Kittaninny Regional) off of another assist from Nordby.
Nordby led the Titans with two points (both assists), while senior
Dylan Wolford (Apex, NC / Apex) had a team-high five ground balls. Junior
Steven Knight (Wycoff, NJ / Ramapo) led the Titans with six face off victories. Freshman goalkeeper
Connor Doyle (Glen Aubrey, NY / Glen Aubrey) corralled a career-high 13 saves.
Westminster will be back in action tomorrow when it takes on Lebanon Valley College in the second day of the Three Rivers Classic at Rooney Field on the campus of Duquesne University at 3 p.m.
