BEAVER FALLS, Pa. - The Westminster College women's tennis team remained undefeated on the season following its 8-1 victory over conference foe Geneva College on Wednesday.
The Titans improved to 7-0 and 2-0 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) with the win, while Geneva fell to 3-3 and 1-2 in the PAC.
Seniors
Margo Mason (Pittsburgh, PA / Chartiers Valley) and
Alex Marzouca (Kingston, Jamaica / Immaculate Conception) both continued their excellent senior campaigns with victories at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively. Mason won 6-2, 6-4, while Marzouca claimed a 6-1, 6-0 victory. Junior
Julia Serbati (Oil City, PA / Oil City Area) also won in #3 singles by a score of 6-1, 6-0. First-year
Sabrina Slagle and junior Mckenna Robinson (Pittsburgh, PA / Shaler) also managed victories in their respective singles matches. Westminster swept all three doubles matches.
The Titans will return to the court on Saturday, September 28 when they take on Pitt-Greensburg in non-conference action at home at 11 a.m.
