NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College men's soccer team shut out the La Roche University Redhawks at home inside Harold Burry Stadium on Wednesday evening by a score of 1-0.
 
Westminster improved to 3-4, while La Roche dropped to 2-6 on the season.
 
The only goal of the contest came in the 78^th minute when senior Peter Mattocks (Saegertown, PA / Saegertown) streaked past the La Roche back line and fired a shot past the keepers left side to give Westminster its 1-0 lead.

Senior Ezra Cimino (Brookline, MA / Waldorf) picked up his first shutout of the season and the second of his career in the win. Cimino also tallied five saves.
 
The Titans out shot La Roche (20-13) and led in corner kicks (2-1).
 
Westminster will be back in action on Saturday when it travels to Hiram, Ohio to take on Hiram College. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
