Women’s Lacrosse: Titans Extend Win Streak to Seven with PAC Win Against Franciscan

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Westminster College women's lacrosse team extended their winning streak to seven games and remained undefeated in the conference as they won, 18-1, at home over Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) foe Franciscan University Tuesday evening.

Westminster (11-2, 6-0 PAC) scored two goals in the first minute of the game to set the tempo. Juniors Michaela Hays (Blairsville, PA / Blairsville) and Margo Mason (Pittsburgh, PA / Chartiers Valley) tallied the first two goals for the Titans. The Titans continued to pour the pressure on Franciscan (6-6, 3-3 PAC), notching thirteen consecutive goals to go into halftime with an 13-0 lead. The Barons got their first goal of the game at the 8:02 mark of the second half, followed by five more from the Titans.   Hays led the way offensively for the Titans with a career-high five goals, as well as a career-high nine points on the evening.  Mason was right behind with five goals of her own, and seven points. Mason currently sits third in the NCAA Division III goals per game rankings with 6.36. Junior Bria Braddock (Beaver Falls, PA / Blackhawk) and senior Emily D'Amico (Moon Township, PA / Moon Area) each recorded three goals for the Titans. D'Amico now has over 100 career goals and joins Braddock as the only Titans to achieve this milestone. First-year goal-keeper Emma Bradley (South Fayette, PA / South Fayette) made four saves while giving up only one goal to record a .800 save percentage on the evening.

The Titans will be back on the field on Saturday, April 27 when they take on Bethany College for Senior Day to wrap up the regular season.
