NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Westminster College men's tennis team lost, 6-3, to Bethany College in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) action on Tuesday.
Sophomore
Miguel Ascencio (Venitia, PA / Peters Township) continued his streak of strong performances in singles, winning his match 6-2, 6-0, at no. 1 singles and improving his singles record to 5-3 on the season. Freshman
Logan Mannhiermer (South Park, PA / South Park) also delivered a victory in the no. 3 singles match, besting his opponent by scores of 6-4, 6-3. The Titans also notched a victory in the doubles category, as Ascencio, and Noah Weis ( South Park, PA / South Park) picked up a victory for Westminster by a score of 8-6.
The Titans dropped to 0-8 with the loss, and fell to 0-3 in the conference. Bethany improved 7-2 overall and 2-0 in the conference.
Westminster will be back on the court when it travels to Waynesburg on Saturday to take on the Yellow Jackets at 1:00 p.m.
