HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Westminster College men's tennis team lost, 9-0, to Cornell College (IA) in the first match of their Spring Break trip on Sunday.
Titan sophomore
Miguel Ascencio (Venitia, PA / Peters Township) lost a hard-fought match at no. 1 singles to Shoma Kishimoto, 6-7, 6-1, 10-5.
Westminster sophomores
Collin Kelly (McDonald, PA / Canon MacMillan) and
Alec Rich (Trafford, PA / Penn Trafford) lost a close no. 3 doubles match, 8-6, to Nick Adamou and Connor Schanen.
The Titans dropped to 0-2, while Cornell improved to 6-4 on the season.
Westminster will take on Nebraska Wesleyan University Tuesday, March 12 at 2:30 p.m.
