NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The third-seeded Westminster College men's basketball team won, 95-68, over sixth-seed Waynesburg University in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championship Tournament Quarterfinals at home Tuesday night.
Westminster (12-14), who never trailed in the first half, took its first double-digit lead of 16-5 when junior
Lloyd Chatman (Columbus, OH / Reynoldsburg) made a three-pointer with 13:48 on the clock. The Titans took a 20-point lead (32-12) when sophomore
Anthony Ritter (North Lima, OH / South Range) made a three with 8:10 left. The Titans had their largest lead of 50-27 at halftime. In the first half, the Titans shot 52.9% (18-34) and 61.5% (8-13) from three-point range.
The closest Waynesburg (8-18) would get is 19 points twice in the second half as Westminster maintained its double-digit lead for the remainder of the contest. The Titans had their largest lead of the game of 35 points (86-51) with seven minutes left.
Five Titans scored in double-digits, led by senior
African Grant II (Warren, OH / Warren JFK) who earned his first career double-double with a game- and career-high 20 points and a game-high 11 rebounds. Sophomore
Isaac Stamatiades (Elkridge, MD / Avalon) scored 16 points. Junior

Austin Armwood (Columbus, OH / Westerville North) had 10. Stamatiades earned his fifth double-double of the season, third of the last five games, as he grabbed down 10 rebounds. Junior
Blake Payne (Ashtabula, OH / Jefferson Area) added nine rebounds and seven points. Junior
Ricky Roth (Ellwood City, PA / Lincoln) dished out a game-high five assists. Sophomore
Daniel Ritter (North Lima, OH / South Range) and junior
Lloyd Chatman (Columbus, OH / Reynoldsburg) each had a team-high two steals.
Westminster outshot Waynesburg 50.0% (33-66) to 40.0% (26-65). Westminster was also 52.4% (11-21) from three-point range, its second-highest shooting percentage from behind the arc this season.
The Titans had 19 second-chance points, compared to the Yellow Jackets' six. The Titans also outrebounded Waynesburg, 53-22, including 17-4 in offensive rebounds. Grant and Stamatiades both had a game-high six offensive boards.
Westminster will play at second-seed Grove City College in the PAC Semifinals on Thursday, February 21 at 7 p.m.
