NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Westminster College women's tennis team shut out Penn State Behrend in non-conference action at home on Tuesday.
The Titans, who earned their sixth shutout of the season, improved to 10-1 on the season and remained undefeated at home. Penn State Behrend dropped to 1-10.
At singles, senior
Margo Mason (Pittsburgh, PA / Chartiers Valley) at No. 1, senior
Alex Marzouca (Kingston, Jamaica / Immaculate Conception) at No. 2, junior
Casey Barton (New York City, NY / Dominican Academy) at No. 3, and first-year
Sabrina Slagle (Upper St. Clair, PA/ Upper St. Clair) at No. 4 all earned complete 6-0, 6-0 shutouts.
At doubles, Mason and Marzouca earned an 8-0 shutout at No. 1, while Barton and sophomore
Sara Small (Beaver, PA / Beaver Area) won 8-0 at No. 2.
Westminster is back on the court Friday, Oct. 11 with a Presidents' Athletic Conference match at Saint Vincent College. Start time is set for 4 p.m.
