NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Westminster College men's soccer team fell in its home opener to the University of Mount Union, 2-0, in a non-conference contest Saturday afternoon.
Westminster fell to 3-1 on the season, while Mount Union improved to 3-0.
After 40 scoreless minutes, Mount Union's Jon Schroeder scored off a free kick attempt from 30 yards out (40:05) to give the Purple Raiders a 1-0 lead. Early in the second half (46:19), Mount Union scored off the foot of Colton Priester to extend the Purple Raider lead 2-0.

Mount Union led in shots (14-7) and edged Westminster in corner kicks (4-3).
Westminster is back in action at home Monday, September 10 against Carlow University. Start time is set for 3:30 p.m.
