NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Westminster College volleyball team swept Mount Aloysius College, 3-0, at home for its ninth-straight victory Tuesday night.
 
In set one, the Mounties (5-8) were up, 15-13. The Titans (13-1), however, went on a 5-0 run to take a 18-15 lead and remained in front for a 25-20 set one victory. Westminster jumped out to a 6-0 lead in set two and a 7-0 lead in set three to win convincingly in both sets, 25-9 and 25-13, respectively.
 
Senior Delaney Saxton (Cortland, OH / Brookfield) led the Titan offense with a game-high 11 kills and also hit .389 for the match. Junior Reilly DeGeorge (Ashtabula, OH / Saint John) tallied seven kills, while first-year Maya Steward (Los Angeles, CA / William Howard Taft) had six. Senior Shanna Daniels (Hermitage, PA / Billy C. Ryan) totaled a team- and match-high 15 assists, while first-year Samantha Kelly (Irwin, PA / Penn-Trafford) totaled 11. Daniels also tied a match-high 11 digs, while Steward and senior Rachel Moore (Greensburg, PA / Greensburg Central Catholic) each finished with nine. Saxton and junior Haley Farmerie (Manor, PA / Greensburg Central Catholic) each registered a match-high three blocks. DeGeorge tied a match-best in service aces with two.
 
The Titans will next host Waynesburg University in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) action Wednesday night at 7 p.m.
